Title: Opinions on this grill guard?

It's cheap and looks cool in the picture, and that's the first thing that attracted me to it.

It is a Universal bar that requires a separate mounting kit, so you are going to have to mod up a way to bolt it onto the front end of your Tracker.  They don't even give the dimensions of the bar so there is no way to know how well it will fit.

You can give it a try though, but for a bit more you can get the Shrockworks or Trail Tough bumpers.

Do you want this for looks or for function? A lot of these aftermarket grille guards are very weak and badly mounted. It does claim to be OE quality but I've seen what happens when people tie a rope to a Range Rover grille guard and try to pull on it  :o. They don't stand up well to a tap into a tree either, usually they just get pushed back into the bodywork, so you still get body damade and a broken grille guard too ::). I've never seen a Shrockworks or TT bumper 'in the flesh' but I've looked at the pics and the specs, they are well made pieces of kit and are designed for the rigours of offroading - well worth the extra money.

Thanks, guys. Don't want it for offroading, but if I'm gonna spend the money, I want it to serve SOME function. I'll check out Shrockworks.
