Title: trail tough yj springs/missing link performance problems
Post by: JillRide9 on September 02, 2007, 11:07:11 AM
Hi!
I am going to look today at a Samurai with the Trail Tough missing link/yJ springs front and rear.  The rig currently has 32" tires.  I am looking for a rig for general off roading, no rock crawling.  But we do some higher speed open desert roads and country road connectors.

After reading the Rocky Road Outfitters page on their Jeepeater kits I am scared off of the missing link suspension.  Can anyone comment on the Trail Tough missing link kits.  I may change the tires to smaller ones (just do not need 32")

Thanks
Jill

You can drill a hole in each one and bolt it shut or make a pin kinda thing to keep them closed but they are the best built on the market even if they do not open up, keeping everything where where it should be and the correct angles when modified are important, plus there built extra strong.

I have sky's yj kit with front missing links and it drives just fine at high speeds. I can also bolt the missing links closed if desired with no drilling or mods what so ever. Perfect for 32's or 33's
Im happpy with it.
