I finally went to their site, and I thought, "This is the place for me. "
I'm looking at around $900 for front and rear bumpers and a Roof Rack--and I deserve this for myself for Christmas. I'm ordering the 3" lift kit this week, new tires in 2 weeks (next payday), and then I work on nagging the wife about the above stuff.
A few questions:
Do I also need 2" or so coil spacers? Or is that part of the lift kit?
Next, I'd like to paint my grill black. I can see it's just cheap plastic, so does that just pop out, or is it "bolted" on from inside the hood?

Sounds good!
On the spacers, I wouldn't recommend coil spacers with the 3" suspension lift. How big of a tire do you want to run and are you willing to trim the back of your front fender? You may not need any more lift.

I'm going with 235s, and I really don't want to trim fenders. This is all for looks, not off-roading, and herein comes more of my confusion:
I'm talking about the body lift kit--not suspension. Calmini's SK19600 for $129.
Am I off base here, if I'm just going for looks?

I am not sure how long that just for looks thing is going to last once you have it lifted with larger tires. but for argument sake what you are planning is sound. the tires will fit just fine. In fact I had 30" tires on mine with just a body lift (many Many years ago). Dave

Personally, I'd go for the 2 inch suspension lift. I am not a fan, in fact I dislike very much, any body lift and how they change the way the vehicle handles, reacts to terrain, and lasts. But that is just one opinion.

It was a matter of money, but I guess you're right. Maybe I'll just get the tires first and mull this around in my head a little. I'm gonna have my mechanic do it for me, but I didn't even get any costs from him yet. I was foolishly just looking at the initial cost of the different kits.
What if for now, I get the tires, and just do 2" coil spacers--then decide down the road? Also, if I go this route, how do I know which spacers to use? Is that sort of standard?

Since you can fit a 235/75/15 on a stock Tracker, a 2" body lift, or 2" coil spacer lift will be fine for what you're after. I know others are against body lifts, but if it's for street driving, and you're not buying a suspension kit, personally I would just do a 2" body lift, I wouldn't change the suspension with coil spacers.
Removing the grill is easy, there are 2 screws at either end by the fender, and inside the grill you will find 1 - 3 screws or clips(one top middle, and sometimes one in each bottom corner). Painting it is easy too, lightly sand with 400 paper, and spray.

I personally use 2" coil spacers and a 3" body lift. The body lift is really just for looks and tire clearance. I run 31/11.5/16's and needed the extra room. A 2" body lift is a lot easier to install and less of a headache than the 3" . As far as coil spacers, I make and sell them. Several guys on here have bought and used them. If you are interested in these they are a pretty cheap way to give you some usable lift and not just cosmetic like the body lift. start with the spacers and if you don't the look, then move on to the 2inch body lift. But for the size of tires you want to run the spacers are all you'll really need.
