Title: ??? Tracker/Sidekick transmission gear ratio
Post by: mcKane on September 07, 2007, 09:40:00 AM
I need a 2wd 5 speed tranny to replace my current 4wd trans.  The problem I have is my is an X90 and 5th gear is .79 and I think all the Track/Kick transmissions 5th gear is .86 (correct me if im wrong please).  My car already goes out to redline in fifth gear so the shorter .86 gear would only cost me some speed.

Fifth in a Sport is .795--don't know if that tranny will fit your x90, tho.

From what I have ran across so far.......all 5 speeds that come behind 16V engines have the .795 5th gear........and all trannys that come behind the 8V engines have the .86 5th gear.
