Title: body mount chassis bracket bending
Post by: SiKiD_01 on November 18, 2004, 04:51:48 PM
i only just noticed this the other day when i was changing the driveshaft on the front, the two brackets (on chassis) that support the body mounts on the body are bending/folding in. they are the ones just behind the front wheels.

is this a common problem? i really dont like the look of it, and was wondering if its the same on the others.

does it really take that much load? how can i fix it or reinforce it?

The body or the frame ???   Never mind
just re-read the post  ::)

I have had body mounts (where the studs
come out) bend, but I thought it was from
the crash when my wife was driving   :(

Sounds like a casual occuarance.

My 4 dr. frame mount brackets at the A-pillar  (Rear of the front wheels) are bent too.  Too many rocks to small of tires.   I think I'm gonna hammer them out back stright and reinforce / partial box them.
