I have a 96 tracker with the hydrallic clutch (120k miles). It's getting hard to shift between gears.
It's my understanding the bushing in the clutch master cylinder wears out at about 100k miles, and that's probably what the issue is. The problem is I can't seem to find the bushing anywhere, and the new master cylinder is about $300 at Kragen :(
Can anyone tell me how I can confirm the master cylinder is the issue? I'd hate to spend that much and be wrong. Anyone know where I can source one for less money?

Can you post a picture of the clutch master cylinder and your VIN? I work as a parts manager at our local GM dealership and could look up the clutch master and shoot you a PM with a price on either the cylinder or I might be able to help find the bushing you are looking for. Feel free to shoot me a PM with the info. Hope I can help. Clutch trouble = >:(

Have you checked with Hawk? Their web site is posted on this site. I had probs with my 96 tracker and they helped me out over the phone. They also carry a wide selection of new and used parts ;)!

Never heard of a hydrolic clutch on a 96.
