Title: new ride!
Post by: chet on November 16, 2004, 08:54:33 AM
hey everyone I just picked up a 1991 sidekick 4 door fully loaded! ;D I am going to be doing some mods to it and it will be my daily driver and mild offroader. I am selling my totally built toyota as I don't get out on the extreme stuff anymore.

Couple of questions though: first what is everyone doing for cup holders? Mine has none and with the PW the switchs for the back are on the console between the seats so that area is out.

second is to do with the windows! The backs are really slow to go up and down and the switches in the console do not work for either rear window(if you use the ones on the doors they are slow)

Any suggestions?

I will post pics later of it stock!  :P

theres a familiar name, for cup holders in jens tracker it came with one like flip up thingy in the tray thing about the grove box, works ok... but yes cup holders are an issue in these little trucks... what kind of mods are ya plannin? lookin forward to see you and jo build up some trackers!

well its getting a tune up tonight! Took the stupid running boards off on sunday. I am hoping to go 2" suspension and 1" body and put some 235's on it for now. Don't want to ruin the mileage to bad.

Once I sell my other vehicles it will be getting an ARB in the rear and a winch

235s are a nice size, not too big
for the motor to pull, and look better
than skinny stockers

Welcome to the Board ;D

Welcome aboard Matie ;D
I'm running 235s on my stock 97 4dr right now with just alittle rubbing at full lock and they make the SideKick look sooooo much better.
And for Cup Holders. Look for a newer modal and they'll have cupholders around the E-Brake handle.
