Title: new to this. need help.

just bought new samurai. 94 1.6 dont know if its 8 or 16v. 31x10.50s. acts like its a little sluggish in the bottom of gears. what in general do i nedd to start replacing on my truck. what do i need to start replacing to help gain back power.

That is a very tough question since you have not said what your truck has now. ID-ing the engine should not be a problem. Take a picture and post it anyone of us can tell you what it is.

do you know if the dif greas have been changed, If not that's where I'd start

You've already made the first step. You've come to the right place.

I'd start with the basic tune up stuff. Oil change, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Maybe belts. Check the air cleaner and change the fuel filter. Then see how it does. With out knowing when the timing belt was changed, that should be considered too. Tuneup stuff will give you a good idea on the power issue if any. Maybe run some fuel system cleaner through too. Uh- yeah. That's what I would do.
