Post by: Mudjockey#1 on October 11, 2007, 05:02:12 PM
I wondering if anyone has put 3" TG springs on a Sami with a 5"RR Spoa.  If so will I need new drive lines and what other problems will surface!  Right now I get alot of fender contact when i stuff the 33" boggers!  I thought I would give it a try, but would luv some input. 8)

tall and narrow!

ya you will probbly need to get new drive lines, try for a toyota front drive line out of a 79-85.
Its a high angle CV drive shaft, longer and beefer than the sammis. Just get your hands on some drive line adaptors.  not sure for the front, im not sure how much lift the sammis can go befor the crossmember hit the front drive line.

i had another thought was to swap out the tall perches to a standard perch, with the new springs?  My springs are hammered.  I want to go to YJ's but I couldn't pass up the deal on these brand new springs!  Thanks for any input!

Well I have a friend who put stock tracker springs in his sammy and that thing was tall on stock tires with that.  he still needs to mod up a couple things before he goes out wheeling, but I cant wait to see it wheel and how it rides.
