Currently my Samurai wants to wander from side to side after my SOA. I took it to the alignment shop and the castor reads 2.4 on one side and the other side reads 2.5. The factory service manual says it should be 3.3.
I’ve been told by several sources and people that since my caster is a bit low, that could be the cause of the wandering. I have seen the steel shims on Rocky Road and Lowrange. They are 3 degrees. This will put me at 5.4 & 5.5 and should stop the wandering.
Has anyone had experience with using the shims to correct caster and is a little too much positive caster bad?

Here are some pictures of the steel shims:

More caster is definitely better than less, put them in and see what you get.
