Title: Who to talk to at Rocky Road?
Post by: keith on November 08, 2004, 12:52:25 PM
Does anyone know the name of a rep at Rocky Road that is particularly knowledgeable about suspensions?  I have called twice and talked to people that were somewhat but not extremely knowledgeable about EMU products.

Mike Hagen at Zukiworld BBS ;D

BUY THE STRUTS!!!!!!!! They are awesome!!!!! After riding in the Cadi of Trackers (Mikes) I went home and ordered them. Damn they are expensive but well worth the cost. My kick did not ride this smooth stock 8)

I'm looking to soften the thump in the rear when I go over bumps and cracks on the street.  Will replacing just the rear shocks with the DT's help this?  If not can I just replace the springs and shocks in the rear with the EMU units?  I'm not looking for lift here just a better ride.  I'd like to stay away from doing the front as I'm a little more apprehensive about doing that myself due to the added complexity and the alignment issues.  Plus the added cost of the spring and struts in the front.

Do you have any lift at all right now? Are you running stock shocks?

Right now it is totally stock.  If I don't get this riding better I will have to trade it.  I have a headache every night when I get home from work after driving it.  I never had this problem with my 90.  I am inclined to go with the full kit if that will give the smoothest ride.  Do the coil spacers make a difference either way?

My 96 just had bad rear shocks.  It would give a jolting bounce over the concrete hwy expansion joints.  My 98 is much better.   Both are stock 2 dr conv 4wds.

gwbuild|removethispart|@rocky-road.com.

Never did talk to him on the phone but you may be able to ask him for his phone #.
