ok this is more on the zuktoy moving the tank into a safer place. if you dont know the zuktoy and haven't been following my mods just do a search on zuktoy. their has been a lot done so you will want to read up on it. for those that have been following it hears some more. ive made the box for the tank and mounted it into the frame in the trunk. i also had to get curative. ive never done body work like this so i was winging it. i had to move the tank fill to a location that it would be higher than the tank. i took the rear light out to see if i could remove the fill neck holder in the body. i found that i could drill out the tack welds and remove it. so i cut a hole in front of the marker light and mounted the filler holder with the door. i did a lot of mettle working (with a hammer) and welded it into place.
hears the pix i think it came out pretty good for not ever doing this kind of work im not a body man just a auto teck.

That looks really good and gives me a idea about using it on my samurai. I have a couple four door trackers that I am parting out and I thought about using the door from one of them just didn't know how.
Now I know. ;)
Thanks again for sharing.

That looks good. I might consider moving mine so I can enlarge the rear wheel wells.

Looks nice. Are you going to cut out and weld over the old spot?

ty im going to weld a plate inside the old hole. the bottom half from the body line above the wheel wells of the rig is going to be rinogard so the bodywork douse not have to be perfect . i might enlarge the wheel wells too.

You could leave the old door in place and hook up an air output connection there for your on board air, so you open up the fuel door to hook up the air hose to it...
