i will need new tires soon and was wondering what the largest tires i can install on a stock 98 sidekick sport with the stock wheels. Also will going to a larger tire cause damage to other parts over time?
thanks

I have 225/70R16s, one size larger than stock, on mine. They rub the frame on the tightest turns. I suspect a larger size might not fit on the spare mount if you have a stock rear bumper. I wouldn't expect any damage from using them. The odometer is about 5% off.

I run 31/11.5/16's on the factory rims !!! Of course I have a 2" suspension and a 3" body lift on my 97 Sport. Plus some great sawzall work ;D ;D ;D

235/70R16 just clear and 225/75R16 may or may not just clear depending on the brand on a stock vehicle.
