I recently purchased a 2002 suzuki 4wd xl7 in bad need of tires. After having several local tire dealers telling me that the only tire size that fits this vehicle are the p235/60r 16,I am looking for options here from you guys or any other general info on this vehicle as in suppliers of aftermarket parts,lifts...etc.
Can anyone tell me if they are running any other size tire on the stock wheel and how its working for them?
Thanks,
Rob

welcome! Yes that is the factory size. A 225-70-16 will fit stock with slight rubbing under extreme flex. That is what I am going to run soon as my tires are almost done.

it won't change it more than 1 mpg either way. Taller tires will make your speedo appear slower than actual speed, and vice versa for shorter. I went with some 225/60's and gained 500 rpm at 70 mph. I still average around 22, less in the winter with oxygenated gas of course.
