Hey all-
So I finally did it. I went and put some big meats on my red zook. I bought this 85 toyota for some parts and it had a decent set of tires on it. And since red's were getting worn down I decided to have em swapped over. Plus I am going on the overland adventure in a couple days.

That's the way I felt after I did my
lift and A-arm relocation and put on
some 31's for sizing and trimming

Nice.
Is this the first time you've had the larger tires on it?
Do you have any impressions to offer about the difference yet?
-
looks like you could go a couple of sizes bigger..... well..... with a bit more lift too. :)
anyway, looks cool, 8) i always liked the look of bigger tyres on standard rims, too bad its extremely illegal where i am.
do you have any rubbing or scrubbing? doesn't look like it. keep up the good work.

I appreciate all the comments guys but I meant it as kinda a joke. as far as them being big anyway. I am currently reworking my other samurai to have 36-37"tires. Gonna be alot of tube, but still look like a sammy. Probably coils on all 4 corners. I do have a little rubbing on the springs at full lock. That is just because I used stock wheels. They dont seem to rub on the fneders yet,But I havent wheeled it yet. Anyway thanks again for the posative feedback guys...
Oh and for those of you who dont know this one is my daily driver.
It has
3" emu springs
3/4"shackles
4-1 calmini t-case gears
rear Lockright locker
calmini header
2" exhaust
free flow intake(home made)
and now 31" tires(had 30's)
I got a set of 4.62's out of a kick I may put in some day. Low range still isnt quite low enough.

Bring your BFH Zig. ;D I will post some pics when I start working on the tubing. I am trying to find a 1.6 turbo desiel for it right now. I will probably do a build up thread on a couple forums.

Great, I'll be looking forward to that, been reading a lot about that conversion, a diesel would make a real workhorse of the Sammie.
Just picked up my powdercoated wheels with the new 33" ProComp XT's and for fun put one in front of my Chevy with 35" CreepyCrawlers..........................I'm beginning to feel a bit troubled to think they have to go under that small car  ;)

First 2" raise will go on the Sammie with the Calmini Shackle Reversal Kit this Saturday and I'll testfit the wheels/tires with the 1" wheelspacers just for fun  8) ( still waiting for the 3" IronMan leafs to arrive from Australia before doing the SPOA )
