I was looking around and doing some googling researching suspension lifts for the sidekick to go along with my 3" bodylift from Calmini and I came across Boondox Motorsports. They have some pretty decent looking lift systems, but I wanted to know if there's anyone on here that has tried any of their lift systems, and how have they worked out. What I'm mainly looking at is their strut extenders, and the procomp longer travel shocks. I want to buy a set of Jeff1997's spacers to go along with it. So if anyone has any info please let me know.

They use a pretty good setup. Its a full coil lift with NO spacers. I have a the strut extenders and the procomp long travels from them. Just good luck getting a hold of him.
-
Okay, so lets say I got their 1.5" Suspension lift including the 1.5" spacers, 2" strut extenders, 2" rear shocks, which would give me 4.5" of lift, would I be able to fit 31's, with minor or no trimming?
-
there 1.5in lift uses coil spacers. i was talking about all coil on there 3in lift. but i wouldn't use 1.5in spacers with there 3 inch lift. i'd do the 3in sus. lift and a 2in body lift to clear 31s
-
Yeah I know, 3" is a little out of my price range though. I already have a 3" body lift from calmini. Boondox has the 1.5" susp. lift for a more affordable price.

I run boondox 4 door 3 inch lift springs in my 2 door tracker. Very nice setup, but I am not sure if you can still get ahold of boondox. I know most of there stuff been out of stock for awhile, although I havent checked there website lately.

if you already have the calmini 3in body lift then just get a set of coil spacers from jeff1997. Use 1.5in in the front and 2in in the rear for a full 2in extra lift. Then just flip your strut mounts and get some $20 dollar ford crown vic shocks. You'd clear 31s easy.
-
Yeah that's the thing I don't understand. I'm new to the lifting game, how does that strut mount flip work, don't you have to do something to the holes for it and get bigger bolts? I think I read something about that. Before I even came across Boondox, I was considering Jeff's Spacers.
-
strut mount flip just needs the stut mount studs knocked out and replace the bolts. very easy to do.

Yes that is right; what you flip is the strut cap. That is the plate that has 3 studs holding it on to the strut tower, and the top of the strut goes through the middle. Put a proper sized 12 pt socket on the back side and use a hammer or vice to knock out the stud. Drill out the hole to the next larger size, be sure the bolts you use will still go through the holes in the strut tower. Now when you put the assembly back together put the strut cap in up-side-down. you have just added about 2 inches to the down travel of the front suspension.

Okay thanks, now do the crown vic shocks bolt right up without any modifications?

Depends on the total size of your lift. I am using ford f150 shocks for now until I can afford some softer shocks there way to stiff.
-
Can the crown vic/F150 shocks be used on a truck without the Hagen over-rotation on it?

Ya mine are in the stock position, although its a tight fit.
-
Well I was gonna get Jeff1997's Spacers, which will be 2" of lift so will the vic shocks work without modifications with that lift?
-
Yes the Crown vic shocks will work fine.

No jeff just includes the spacers but he gives you part #'s on the shocks you need to get.
-
If you want your truck to sit level, definately get 1.5 inch spacers front and 2 inch spacers rear.I will be ordering mine in a couple of days from jeff myself. There are a couple of excellent posts on the strut flip with great color photos and all,on this site.If I new how to put the link in this reply I would.it is a piece oc cake though,no worries.

Now I also read somewhere about having Camber issues. Will that be a problem with this setup or no?
-
Thanks guys! It really is a piece of cake! Could you guys tell that to the guy in Hawaii that thought he could just throw the spacers at the vehicle and it would magicly lift itself? ;D
-
Hi Jeff I want your spacers! lol Badly! But what about this Camber Issue I've heard about?
-
Any alignment shop can use a number of items to fix your camber. But to make sure you don't get overcharged, i'd get some camber bolts online at rocky-road or even at the local NAPA...which is where i bought mine...they were like $35.00
