Lots of people do this, byt usually not without lift or shallower backspacing on the wheels.

i dont see why you would need to lift. its the same size diameter. just a little wider.
i was just wondering if it was going to rub the frame, or front strut. if anyone has tried it.

I had 235/70/16 tires on my Sport, and they rubbed a little on the inside of the fenderwell at full lock. I had General Grabber AT2 all terrain tires. This was on the stock rims.

225/70/16s rub on mine at full lock.  If you are willing to sacrifice a bit of turning radius, you can adjust the steering so your new ones won't rub.
