Feeling nice tonight. Copy and pasted from said link:
Frankenstein

Specs:

Frame up is a 1991 Suzuki Sidekick body
Frame down is a 1978 Chevy Blazer frame(shortened 11") and drivetrain
Bored/rebuilt 400+hp Chevy 350ci engine
TH350 transmission
Gear driven transfer case
8" lift springs
D44 front axle
Dynatrac D60 rear axle
44x18" Swamper TSL's on 15x14" wheels

It wasn't a pretty show truck, after all, the license plate did read: "FRKNSTN"

hahahaha

You can't take something that's all Suzuki and make it that high. It's too bad.

I mean, I'm now going to be running Toy axles. At least I'll still have the zuk engine...

:P

;D

I don't think she's decided yet.

If we stick with 35's there is still a chance it will fit in the garage, and since its her daily driver I know that this is still a concern for her.  Scraping windows in the winter-time sucks.   Leaving expensive vehicles exposed to the elements sucks.  Thieves suck.

We think we can go to ~ 36's or 37's with the current suspension setup, without having to lift it any further.  But I'm pretty sure its garage days would be over then.

However, we are reloacting spring hangers and shackles to widen (4 inches) the springs and to push the tires forward and rearward further (an inch in each direction) for more stability, better aproach angles, etc.  So we may be able to go a bit larger tire afterwards.  It just depends on where the suspension ends up.  So I'd say that tire size question is still up in the air.

Fortunately, gearing isn't a question at this time.
It's all about stability and drivablity.

Our trip to Moab last year was great.  But if you were there, you'd a seen me out spotting her while going over nearly everything.  Even over stuff I wouldn't have even given a second thought about before the lift, I was outside checking things out.  (which slowed us down a TON, just ask the guys.  They had great patience for us.)

But we were learning about the new ride.  We difinately had some pucker factor due to the additional lift, especially since we didn't have any time to play with it after we lifted it before Moab.   But after 12 additional inches if height and no additional width.  The sidehill stuff still makes me wonder, how far we REALLY are from taking a ride over on its side.

All the following camping trips, to and from work, and driving around town proved that the existing setup was tolerable AND a bit top heavy at the same time.

Its stuck to the ground when it was supposed to be and it goes onto two wheels nearly on command when on the pavement if I ask it to.  (sharp corners)

I'm hoping with the additional width, sway bars, new springs/bushings that all of this will be taken care of.

So I don't whink we plan on taking it much higher to accomodate larger tires.

Just the largest we can go with the way it sits now.

I've got a solution for you. 37 MTR's on Hummer wheels with the auto inflate/deflate  :o Then you could just air down 3-4 psi and pull in the garage ;D

Or is there space in the header of the garage for a little raise? Or room on the side of the garage for another (seem to recall something of a short driveway and lots of fense in your neighborhood from old pics)?
On a corner lot? Cool to have a garage on the end corner side and to have entry and exit doors on both sides of the garage, entrance from street, exit through back yard and fense - sort of a pass-through with large doors.

As you are going wider, isn't going to suck to constantly clean the side windows from the road spray off the tires? Mind you the rear view mirrors also?

Buy Hydraulics!!! That way you can have super clearance and when ya gotta go into the garage just lower it LOL. I don't know where your going to pack the meats but a little fender trimming here and there might do the trick LOL.

You could have a low/high rider Zuki!!! LMAO

If you couldn't clear an object you could jump over it if you had a running start HAHAHA!

Quit steeling my ideias..   ;D  Just kidding.   I don't have a garge...   But Hummer tires  ::)

:)  Mine was about the same at Zuwharrie (maiden voyage, new limits, Locked & 4:1 + much more TIPPY).  With mine not being an On road vehicle.  Zuwharrie and the Roads to Camp & store were the first time it had been out fo the yard.  The added height definatly made it more tippy.

I'm thinking bigger, This will help with breakover and ground clearance issues, but the extra height & quicker tip over may not be acceptable.
