Title: Saggy front springs.
Post by: Cwkick on June 15, 2005, 02:22:19 AM
The front of my 97 Tracker is a little saggy.  I think it is down about an inch.  This has been exagerated by the Calmini 2" lift.  I am looking to lift the front about an inch to level everything out.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seems spring spacers are about a 2 to 1 ratio.  That is a one inch block give you about two inches of lift.  If I use a half inch block, that should give me about an inch of lift, correct?

I think it's more around 1.5:1 ... a 1.5 spacers seems to yield about 2" or so of lift.

Best way to configure it to take it apart only once, is to use a jack to lift the front up. Measure at the coil the coil static height. Lift to height necessary to balance front to back, remeasure in the exact same location. The difference is the height required.
