Title: An old interesting picture I found
Post by: Icelandic on January 03, 2008, 07:10:49 PM
Hi. I found this picture in my computer. Thought you guys would like to see it.
Its my Grand Vitara on 35´s and a Suzuki Jimny 1300cc also on 35´s. There we were just about 5km from a Glacier getting ready to head up.

Best regards.

How does your running gear hold up to those meats?

And how do you turn them????

What PSI are you running? >:D

That all depends on where Im driving :) In the city..around 23psi, on a mudroad in stones.. around 15psi and when going over glaciers and in deep snow all from 10psi down to 1psi

How does your running gear hold up to those meats?

And how do you turn them????

My grand vitara is just a V6 manual with diffs (4.88) from a automatic GV.
The jimny has lower diffs and transfer case from a Samurai.
The Grand Vitara is good really good power wise, on and off the road but the jimny needs more when going up hills. And actually, when offroading and we come to a steep hill the trick is just 1st gear in Low and redline :D

I'm so crossing the pond, Supid lucky Europeans with their libral crash standards, while still reinvinting safty and an eye for fuel economy and progressive thinking.  >:( Any word on having a shop remove the engine and sending the vehicle over and the motor in a crate as "parts?" kinda spendy for something that would never wear plates though.

1psi and no beadlocks? Your brave.

Speaking of crossing the pond, with those meats it looks like it could float across.
