Title: which fuel pump for a 1.6L ???
Post by: 87 sammi on January 08, 2008, 08:00:33 PM
i did the 1.6 8v swap in my 87 samurai and i am trying to figure out what fuel pump to use. the motor calls for one that puts out 35-40 psi. Is there any vehicles that have an inline pump that puts that out that would be a practical swap? if not, any recommendations as to which one to buy? Thanks!!

If you kept the FI you need a high pressure pump and if you had a carb and kept it you will need a low pressure pump. Any auto parts store should have these, just a generic replacement part.

Help any?

OK then you need the high PSI unit. Trali tough has it for $80 but as I mentioned, you can pick it up at an auto parts store also.
