Hey i am new here. i have searched about my problem with no help
My Problem is my 1999 tracker 2 door 1.6L
it starts and idels fine u can rev it up but the revs go up slow if u pin it to the floor it just bogs
and if u try and drive it it bogs out and slows down its like being in 5th gear all the time no power at all
so far i have put new plugs, fuel filer air fiter . checked the timing checked was good the EGR valve MAF sensor voltage. TPS sensor voltage everything is in spec also did a compression test 170 across all 4
there is no catalitic converter so it cant be pluged
it has no check engine light on.
i am running out of things?
only thing left is fuel pump?
anyone have any ideas?

it does sound like a fuel issue. sounds like the injectors arent getting enough fuel pressure. im not sure if a 1.6 has a test port on the fuel rail but if it does you could get a fuel pressure gauge and find out. looks like it needs 36-43 psi.

its got perfect fuel pressure

Have you changed the plug leads and dizzy cap? What plugs did you fit? You could pull the injector and check that the filter on it isn't blocked. Could be a partially blocked pump intake too, fuel pressure at idle would be OK but would drop under demand.

i have put new wires on it, there is no dizzy it is 2 coil packs the plugs are new ngk , its got a new filter
fuel pressure is fine i have a guage on it it gets 37psi idle and like 45 when under demand and with the vac hose off it gets around 50 psi.
i am going after the timing belt next wonder if it skiped a tooth

Check the fuel pressure when you step on the throttle, it might idle fine,
but under load there might not be enough pressure. Then go on and check
the valve timing.
How many miles on the timing belt?

i have tryed it with a load on fuel pressure is still perfect
like i have said plugs are black so its getting fuel i even put in my wideband o2 out of my teg to see it was super rich
and the timing belt i am not sure i just picked up this tracker looks pretty old

thanks for all the help. i figured out the problem
it was the keyway in the crank is wore right out
causing it to be off in timing under load
so the crank is screwed the key is worn out.
threw in a new motor good as new >
