Title: Samurai front wheel bearing washer
Post by: sanjuansheriff on January 21, 2008, 10:43:23 PM
Hey...
While installing new front bearings I found that the washer that goes between the outer bearing and the 2" nut is damaged. The little metal tang that protrudes to the center of the washer is broken off. It keeps the washer from rotating.
I've been searching for a replacement with no luck.... Anyone in Sammyland have an extra one they would be willing to sell?.....  and if not will it do any harm to install it without the tang?

As always thanks,
Dennis

I'll do that. I just never thought NAPA would of had Samurai specific parts.

Thanks!

napa has everything. If it is not in stock, they get deliveries every day from their warehouses. It allmost never takes more than a day. They might be a little higher than the budget stores, but I don't want a cheap part.I want a good one.

Kingzoo,

I just returned from my local NAPA with no luck.... Nothing was listed. They did convince me that I don't really need a new thrush washer that the little tab doesn't matter as long as I have the bearing nut adjust correctly.

What do ya think...is this good or bad information,
Dennis

Give Hawk Suzuki a call.  They should be able to hook you up with the right part no problem.  If my local part store can't find it, I just give them a call.  :)
