Title: 4dr Sidekick springs in a 2dr
Post by: schaney on January 25, 2008, 10:15:26 AM

I've seen some conflicting info on the forum on how much lift, if any, you'll get putting stock 4dr springs in a 2dr.  Does anyone have first hand experience with this?

Mine is a 93 2dr and I have access to a couple of 95 4dr wrecks.

Thanks,
Scott

We put GV springs in a 4dr and netted about 1.5".  In a 2dr, the ride *might* be harsh, but would prolly net the same or more.

i wouldn't suggest buying springs that old, they might be worn and saggy already...

I only want about an 1 1/2" of lift, right now I'm thinking spacers or finding a good deal on some OME springs.

Go with GV front springs with either spacers or Emu springs in the rear with Emu shocks and struts. The GV rears are only good for about 1". The fronts I have found consistantly are good for 2 1/2" - 3" of lift.
