I am starting on my exo cage today.... I was planing on it yesterday, but my friend had a better cutting device at work so he took my square stock there.....
I am going to run square tubing connected to the frame (5 locations on each side) and then 2 pieces of the square tubing on top of those pieces for mounting of the other tube....
it will look similar to this (but not yellow) and not exactly like this

Thanks for any suggestions,

Yea run a hinged bar across the back for a spare tire mount not above the tail gate. what are your ideas for the top and back?

If you are in a cold climate be sure to drill a vent in each tube section to allow moister/condensation to drain out. If it freezes it will deform and even burst the tubing in places. I would also leave enough room between the tubing and body panels for a small paint roller to paint the backside of the tubing without hitting the body. Just a couple suggestions Good luck.

You should also check out the XTreme 4x4 Sammy build, as they did a full XO Cage build as well.
