I think that Calmini, Hawk, and Sky all have aftermarket pitman arms for track/kicks

Nate?  What're you smoking, dude?   ???

I haven't seen ANY replacement Pitman arms, but Calmini makes an Idler Arm Brace (which goes on the opposite end of the linkage from the Pitman Arm), and Sky makes a HUGE, BEEFY, MUST-HAVE Idler Arm, that replaces the stock Idler Arm.

You Can use both the Sky Idler Arm, and the Calmini Idler Arm Brace at the same time.

Umm, Stu, that's a Samurai Pitman arm, not a Tracker Pitman arm...

Bob,
I'm not smoking nothing, I shouldn't be...
;)

They all offer kick pitman arms, don't they?

Pretty sure I've seen the drop one from Calmini (thinking about ording one).

Pretty sure Hawk's got a bunch of stocky type pitman arms , plus I bet he's got the inside scooop on another make which would work too.

I'm also pretty sure Sky's got a Beefcake drop pitman arm you could order if you ask.

Maybe you should lay off hording the plumbwine and start sharing!

Don't forget about Trail Tough too!

http://www.trailtough.com/steering_components.htm

See the last line in the top product in that list..

But maybe our original poster is wondering what kind of pick and pull pitman arms might fit a track kick..

That...

I have no idea.

HELLO???

From The Calmini Web Page You linked to:

Arm is for the Samurai with a Sidekick power steering conversion and the factory steering system.

Why would you need a drop-pitman arm on a Kick? ???

The Trail-Tough stuff is also for a KICK STEERING BOX ON A SAMURAI.

If you buy the 'sidekick power steering conversion' from either calmini or TT you get a kick pump and a kick box.  Then you can put a drop pitman arm on it, a drop pitman arm on a kick box....A different than stock pitman arm on a kick box.  Sound like it'd work on a Sidekick, not just a Sammy.

I'd think that everybody who's lifted their kicks more than 4 or 5 inches from the frame, should relocate their idler and pitman arm attachment points to keep their steering angles correct.  Even if you've swapped the ball joints on top, you're still at a pretty nasty angle.

good info, I got the toy axles in the tracker now, hi-steer setup, 3/4" heims and 1" 1/4"wall tubing for steering, I think I may need to drop the arm a bit but damn..... $120 for an arm... wow. stock arm aint that bad..... yet.

I dunno...

When you add the Calmini suspension lift, you do not change the pivot point, and you lengthen the links to the steering knuckle, to fix your toe-in, so I don't think that lowering the pitman arm, and idler arm would be a good thing...

If your after a cheap drop pitman arm from a wrecker, one from an early 80's Toyota Tarago van has the same spline as a power steer Vit and same shape as the 3" drop pitman arms available.  The only difference is the tapered hole is larger, so a tapered bush is needed or a larger tie rod end.  $20 cheap.   ;D

hmmmm... gotta check that out..... the hole aint no big deal as I need to drill it out to 3/4" for the heim joint anyway.

I am pretty sure that you won't even need to drill it out as the small end of the taper is around 3/4" :)
