Title: '95 Sidekick Idler Pulley
Post by: Lazarus401 on January 30, 2008, 03:16:51 PM
Hey guys, need some help.  have searched but didnt find what I am looking for.  My son drives a '95 4Dr Sidekick. 1.6L, yada yada yada.  Anyway, the Idler Pulley seized. So I am looking for a replacement, and no ones books or computers even show one for a '95.  Only the '96 and up.  Has anyone done a comparison to see if they are the same, will the '96 work on my sons '95?  Or does anyone have a good one, just laying around for sale?

I have looked on-line, called dealerships, aftermarket places and the parts jockeys at the auto parts stores.  I am stuck.

Thanks.

Dave

It is for the A/C and Power steering.  i talked to a buddy tonight, and he said it has to be aftermarket A/C if it has an Idler pulley.  Its a JLX, so i thought the A/C was OEM.

Must be an aftermarket setup.....because in a stock setup, there are no idler pulleys, no matter the AC and PS configuration.....they simply use different length belts.
