Title: Steering Questions: Idler arms, stabalizers, etc.
Post by: explosivo on October 29, 2004, 02:54:13 PM: Is the extra steering stuff really needed when you have armstrong steering? I remember reading somewhere that you're more likely to break an idler with power steering... is this true? Would it be worthwhile looking into beefing it up with manual steering? What about the steering stabilizer? Would it make it a bitch to turn the wheels with manual steering like it does on a SFA? Is it a worthwhile mod?

I was just wondering if anyone has had problems with the idler arm with manual steering or if it's done more often in PS vehicles? ???

Post by: Utah_Tracker on October 29, 2004, 08:42:33 PM: Armstrong steering, 4 broken pre-stabilizer and 1 since. However I've also a lock rite in the front that helps keep things bound up.
