hey i just got into the zuki world. my 96 tracker 4x4 2 door 16v. the clutch isn't engaging or dis engaging fully. i pull up to a stop light and it bogs down and dies. its hard to shift also....... my question is...... is the clutch cable adjustable?
-
Yes, but if it's doing that, the cable is probably seized up. Go get an OEM Suzuki cable from the dealership. Parts store cables are junk. Just went through this. Cable from Advance Auto binded up in less than a year. Just replaced it with an OEM cable. Smooth as butta.

ADJUST YOUR CABLE FIRST
I spent $70 on a new cable, and my old one was fine. The adjustment is next to the transmission on the passenger side. It COULD be a bad cable, but it only takes 10 min to adjust your existing cable and see if that's the problem.

The cable will probably snap if you try to adjust it.....oh yeah!! check your clutch pedal...sometime it start to let go were it hold the cable inside the cab..

i ordered a new cable, but i adjusted it out to where it doesn't bog down but now it feels like the clutch is being rode.

While your down there pull the cable down with your finger you should feel it touch the throw out bearing, if not back it off till you do, should be like one turn off from no play at all.
