Post by: Sami88 on October 27, 2004, 02:28:05 PM
The hardtop came with my sami, but most of  the rubber sills are gone.Winter is coming on the and i would like to close up the leaks and drafts.  Any ideas of where i could get some new sills???

Thanks,

i would just get 1/4x 2" weather stripping and double it up around all the seams

its what i did and it got rid of ALL of my road noise..i say do that because i had a problem with winds when it would get window the tip would arc and let water in..now the seal is thick enough its snug like a bug in a rug

and its only like 3 bucks a box it only took me 2 boxs to get it so that i have a hard time latching the latchs lol

Call Hawk Suzuki, they are great at finding obscure parts.  And if they dont' have it, they can probably point you in the right direction.  They were the only group that knew all about my 410 back when it was running stock running gear.  ;D

Thanks guys.

Hey Mike, how does your top latch?  I have two latches in front where the top support bars would be and then two on the sides.  I have trouble with the top sliding forward and leaving a gap at the back.  Also how does the back part sill up in front of the roll bar?  Mine has about a 3/4 inch gap.  Do you just keep layering the stripping?

Thanks,

luckily my top fits really well..but it sounds like ur top has a little issues lol

so i would just continue to layer teh stuff..cant hurt u will get an air/water tight seal and the top will not rattle at all
