hey i have a 88 samurai with yj springs spring over. the wheels i have right nowwith 33s ??? slightly rub on springs on tight turns. Just wondering what everyone else uses for wheels i dont care what they look like just sick of rubbing. Wanted to know also to get the tires to stick out further is that offset or backspacing because i have heard 2 different things. ???

Just get some 1 1/4" wheel spacers, you can go more but you have to start worrying about bending the axle tubes if you are hard on it, I have friends that run 2" spacers and love them but they are easy on there stuff. Ebay for spacers. I run a 15x10 aluminum wheel and like tham alot has the 3 3/4" or just a tad more back spacing but never rub the springs because I don't turn that sharp with stock axles, that how you break the birf's.

Whats the width of your 33's?
Toyota axles make it nice and wide ;D

I run 3.5" of backspacing on some 15x8" steel wheels. No rubbing issues. At least, not on the frame. :D

I'm running 2.5 inches of backspacing 15x8 rims and 11.50 width tires and have no rubbing issues anywhere. Might do a search I've put my tire and rim info in a couple of threads with pictures.
I got my set up to be able to run 13.50 wide tires.
