Title: I Need a suzuki mechanic in Utah!!!!!!
Post by: lostsamurai on February 10, 2008, 10:12:33 PM
I've exhausted all my knowledge and resources, I have a 93 sidekick 1.6 16 valve engine in a 88 sami, harness done by trail tough, sidekick auto trans, fresh engine rebuild by reputable machine shop, new calmini header, new o2 sensor, tried replacing the entire intake assembly, the computer, the mass air flow sensor, new dist, wires, plugs, roter, its getting fuel, spark, when I  unplug the fuel pump and hold the throttle open it starts as soon as I plug in the pump it dies, it was running but would die when throttle was applied, or when heated up, now nothing, timing maybe? crank notch 12 o'clock, cam e mark at 12 o'clock, dist at #4 cyl, firing order 1324 counter clockwise. I can't find a mechanic, no one wants to figure it out because of the engine conversion please help any mechanics in utah will travel, also have shop with tools, will pay if someone can make it run right thanks dustin

You might try posting in the zUktah section of the board, for the Utah board members.  :)

How about the fuel return line?
too much pressure will cause a rich/stall condition
did they install a return line in the sammy ?
they didn't come with one, or did it get plugged or pinched ?

zuktah is dead, I know everyone on there I've talked to them on the phone no one has any more idea's than I do, as for  the return I never thought about that, I run a 5 gal jaz poly cell, I have a line going to an inline 70 psi pump, to the fuel press reg wich reduces to 34 psi then to the engine, returns to the top of the cell ill check for any obstructions thanks wild

Hey dustin did you check your injectors? Definatley sounds like a fuel delivery problem.
I might be able to stop buy this weekend to help.
