i was just curoius instead of buying new gears to get more power like rock crawling gears from low range or somthing. is there anyways i can re-position or re-do my stock gears?just for alil more power?without going up to 4 1/2-51/2 rpms on the highway?

Transfer case gearsets for Trackicks only affect lowrange. So you will still be able to cruise the Highways at normal RPM, or close to it depending on tiresize/differential gears. ;)

Thats how those sidekicks like it, real high in the RPMs ;D
What speed are you going at these RPMs?
In my samurai im turning like 3500 at like 60-65 mph and that gets a bit scary with a cross wind and a bumpy road.

well the fastest i waqnt to go is like 65 mph. maybe 70, and thats at about 3,500 rpm also. but if i get new gears it doesnt affect the change in 2wd right?just in transfer case in 4wd?

Thats right, nothing will change when in 2HI or 4HI. 4LO only. Which is good and bad. Great if your rolling on factory wheels, but to go bigger then 31" Rubber it would be great to have some gearing to compensate while in 2HI, since no one is currently making the 5.83:1 diff gears. I have a set of gears coming that are in UPS's possesion right now, cant wait to get them installed.

well rite now i just got 31's but on the road is fine. well after some weight from armor and bumber i may need to but i want somthing that can give me some more in 4h. 4l is like torque already,lol no question but i want a lil more for 4h. but the the gears just affects 4L?withc is alright unless i am running higher rpms or som,thing. but in what area is it bad?

Not sure what you are asking, I meant its "bad" or not convenient that the transfercase gears don't affect High-range if you would like to run Big Rubber, cause gear reduction would help compensate for a huge loss in power that you would have with something like 33's.
I run 31's as well, on light Pro-Comp wheels, power wasn't down much, slightly noticeable. Would like bigger rubber though, once someone offers diff gears of the 5:83:1 variety.
Anyway, there are no options for gear ruduction on HI range unless you are somekind of a gear wizard and can fab your own, other options are there for different transfercase scenerios but Im not up on those.

The easy way to remember it on Trackers:
Diff gears will slow you down in both High Range and Low Range.
Transfer Case gears will only slow you down in Low Range.
IZook has a gear calculator to help you figure out how to get back to stock ratio with your new tires.

With the Sammy's you can get a high range reduction in your transfer case as well as low range, which is probably throwing you off when you look up Zuki gear sets.

what about the sidekicks?or the same as trackers?

Yea, Sidekicks and Trackers are pretty much the same, just slightly different trim and grills.

If hi-range reduction is what you are looking for, get a 2WD Sidekick/Tracker transmission and put a Samurai transfer case behind it. You will need 3 custom driveshafts (front, rear, and intermediate) but it is apparently a solid setup with 33" tires.
