Title: body lift help
Post by: jplowman2005 on February 17, 2008, 06:42:51 AM
ok so i got my 2 inch body lift put on but i ran into some problems and im stuck..first the 2 front body bolts snapped as soon as i tried to turn them, i got the driver side out with vise grips, but the passenger side broke off leaving a smaller nub that i cant get enough grip to back it out...And next i went and bought a longer 2" fuel feed hose and it kinks any way i try to run it from the tank to the feed neck, any one have this problem and fix it...i was thinking about putting a 2' 90* elbow, seems like that might make it work...

Spray the snapped off bolt with penetrating lube and let sit. Keep reallpting every 2-3 hr and then let sit over night. Go to Sears, Auto Supply, Lowes, or wherever has a good tool selection and buy a set of "Easy Outs"  They are reverse ran metal drill bits with a cutting/grab edge that will extract the bolt. The easy out drills a pilot hole in the broken off bolt and the grab edge cuts a edge into the bold and unscrews it.

I had no issues with my filler pipe and my 3" body lift. I did not even use the pipe extension that came with the Calmini Kit  :-\

o ok i get what yout talking about with the pipe now...well stupid me has to cut a piece off the stock one for somthing so i guess im going to have to order another one...i have been spraying it about once a day and i have a easy out set but i cant get to it from the top because the body is in the way, and i cant get to it from the bottom because of the frame/bumper..
