i am trying to decide if i want to go with toyota axles on my samy. I already have yj springs my next step is gearing the transfer case to 6:5 1 and keep the stock axles. Does anyone know if I am going to run into trouble when trying to go to toyota axles.

I found the swap to be very straight forward. The front axle is a bolt in and I was able to use the stock front driveshaft with spacers (I had to redrill the toyota flange). Part of the reason is I used the Trail Tough YJ spring mounting kit with the YJ springs kicking the front axle forward enough for the longer 3rd member of the toyota. The rear was easy and I didn't have any vibration from the offset t-case to centered rear axle. I did run a rear torque bar for spring wrap.
I wish I would have kept that rig... HTH

I was wondering how much lower the gearing is the toyota axles and if it would be too low with 6.5:1 t-case gears. dont have the t-case yet but dont want to get the gears first and end up having to change them again to accomidate the yota axles
