i have a 90 8v tracker and i was wondering if it is possible to convert the manual clutch to a hydronlic clutch.
-
Yes it is. I don't know of an off-the-shelf hydraulic kit that is available for the Sidekick/Tracker. You would have to do some major scrounging and fabbing of parts to make one.
The cable clutch system does work fine when properly set up.
Do you have an cool idea involving a hydraulic clutch system? ???

not yet i just have been having so much trouble with the manual one i have on there. I have had the truck back since jan. from having new clutch plate and engine put in. And since then i have had it back to the shop 4 times now cause it will not stay adjusted!

Try this:

While you are at Ack's FAQ, do a search at Ack's FAQ for fsm and download the part of the '88 samurai Factory Service Manual (FSM) that has the clutch section in it.
You may need a new (OEM is best) clutch cable, but check out the links above, first.
