I just installed a brand new weber 32/36 and i seem to be getting horrible gas mileage. I am sitting on 31's with 4 to 1's and 4.62's. I filled it up last night and drove 13 miles (not corrected for gears) and i am down a quarter tank already. I have checked for vacume leaks already. It runs great but i am having to fill up every two days and i only drive it back and forth to work (10 miles) Has any one else had a similar problem and what was the cure? Also does any one know how far the speedo is off with my setup?

Rebel,
Is this on a Samurai? My 86 Sammy seems to be getting about the same as with the old Hitachi. I think the difference for me is I am racing around a lot more "hot roding"... letting her feel her oats after 22 years of being held back. If I could only control myself I would be getting even better mileage.

She does have a lot of miles on her but i drive it very reasonably. The engine never works all that hard with that much gearing.

Thats good for stock gearing but i believe with my gears the speedo actually says i am going faster than i am. That or my sammy will really fly.
