I am looking at purchasing an 01 Tracker.  What concerns me is that it has the tow bar assembly on it.  the engine only has 24500 miles, but I wonder what problems being towed could have caused, if any.  Is there anything I should be on the look out for?  I have no idea how much it was towed.  Any advice is appreciated. This would be my daily driver.

I believe that miles are still registered when vehicle is towed so odometer reading should include towed miles. I could be wrong (as I often am). ::)

there are NO problems from towing..my 91 was towed all its life my grandpas 99 tracker was towed since new..all of them run like a champ and are still in perfect condition
i wouldnt worry about it being towed..they said that u have to stop every XXX miles but that is just them worrying like i said..my tracker is fine it takes the HUGE ammount of abuse that i give it and keeps coming back for more

I wouldn't worry about towed miles at all. The vast majority of my '89 Sidekick's miles are from towing behind my grandparent's motorhome, it runs fine.

You can never tell if they racked any miles on it while towing it, unless you ask, I would think that would be a pretty good vehicle to buy. I consider my '92 with 102,000 a low mileage vehicle, am I wrong?

my 91 tracker has 94k miles on it..but in reality it only has about 35-40k on the engine :o

You need to watch out for
the Trackers attitude, after
pushing around a motorhome
for all those miles, it might
think it's a Super Tracker ;D

If you get it and don't need the tow bar, how much would you want for it? LOL!

I have a 96 tracker and it has a cable off the trany for the milage.  So any miles towed will show up on the odometer.
Mine is a "Trackers with aattitude, after pushing around a motorhome for all those miles, it might  think it's a Super Tracker"  and haven't had any problems related to the towing/pushing  ::) behind the motor home.
