Title: 97 sidekick . Transmission range switch
Post by: moatmonster on March 05, 2008, 09:49:01 PM
I got a 97 suzuki sidekick  with what I suspect is a bad transmission range switch. Starter cranks intermittently with new starter on it. All battery connections and cables are good.  And I had a p0705 code about 4 weeks ago that I erased cause I wanted to see if it came back.  I didnt know at that time that a Transmission Range Switch circuit was part of the Park Neutral safety stuff.

I need as much info about this thing as you guys can give me.  A new one is 105.00 $$$  at the Suzuki Dealer .  And it will take a week to get .  Do I have any other options?  Is it cleanable, adjustable or what?   Where is it ? What does it look like?   How hard to change?

Thanks
