Is $400 a good deal for a local shop to throw on a 3" Calmini body lift, parts, labor, etc...........

If parts are included I'd gladly pay $400...there's no way I could do something like that on my own.

It requires loosening 8 bolts, a couple hose clamps, and drilling/welding your steering shaft. :-/

I agree.  It only took me a couple of hours to do by my self.  I made a new steering  lengthing thingy but I didn't even have to use it.  I was able to loosen the bolts and retighten them once the lift was on.

sounds a bit steep, i also didnt need to  lenthen the steering depends what model you  got.

The only pain was the gear shifters had to be lengthened
took me all day but i was cleaning painting all the mounts letting it dry etc,

Thats a good point. Something Calmini don't tell you - the body lift is supplied bare metal so you will need to paint it first.

I didn't paint mine, I undercoated it, Wish i did paint it though. Oh well. It took me about 4 hours to do mine, it was a PITA cause stuff was rusty.

I forgot to mention, I live in an apartment in the middle of the city. No garage, welders, etc.... I thought 400 sounded decent. My boss did his own S-10 and said he would never do another lift. I know its apples and oranges- Tracker and S-10, but I still have nowhere to do it.

Do you have a friend with a shop or even a driveway thats flat? All you need is a floor jack and some basic hand tools.

I've done a couple in my driveway, Bronco and Sami. You are welcome to come and I'll help. We can start on a Friday (day off), work into Saturday, and be finish before Sunday, if it's necessary. Sami took all of 3 hours. Bronco little more as I also did the bushings. I've got plenty of tools.

Remember I'm in Lenexa. I do have stubborn piss-ant neighbors. So lets screw with them. Contact me.
