Hey gang,
Just picked up a near mint bone stock '87 Sammy with only 45K on the rebuilt engine. (The original owner drove it 44K, the head gasket blew, and it sat. The second owner picked it up in 2005, rebuilt the engine, cleaned it up, and let it sit in the garage. Today I bought it for $2500 with all 4 original white wheels and Bridgestone tires and a seized engine for parts, as well as 2 spare (need some tlc) rear seats. I have all sorts of plans for it, just need to do some more research! Let the good times roll!!

Nice man, i have an 88 in that same color. Yours is a lot cleaner than mine though.
Looks like a good rig to start out with, what do you plan on doing to it?

Way to go Erik!!!
That thing looks great!!!!

Thanks Amilla and Element. I just sorta stumbled on it. Saw it on craigslist Friday morning, and 36 hours later it's sitting in my garage. I'm thinking about a possible SPOA, with lifted springs and/or new shackles. Not sure though. Also thinking about TT's Slayer kit with Yota axles. This will be my hardcore trail rig, as my 4 dr. tracker which is lifted 4.5 inches and has 30x9.5x15 Cooper mudders on it is my family camping/mild trail rig. We will see ;D >:D

Huge interest on here compared to Zuwharrie :o

Clean looking rig. Nice pick up. :)

Right on man. Thanks. I'm in the process of deciding whether to keep it a stocker or lift it 4-6 inches and throw 31 inch meats underneath (along with the standard bumpers, armor, lights, header, exhaust etc). Decisions, decisions. ;D

Stock? There is such a thing as a STOCK Samurai??? I have heard rumors, but to actually find that one still exists...
Seriously, that is a nice looking truck. I would probably keep it stock, do some light wheeling just for fun, and concentrate on your Tracker for the heavy duty stuff.

I think i would do a spring over, just clear some nice sized meats, maybe a locker or two and some gears. It would be just fine for on and off road, and im sure it would take you as far as you wanted to go...trail wise.

Right on, I appreciate hearing your ideas. Just need to make up my #^$ mind about building it or keeping it stock. For the meantime I'll prolly stash the Tracker in the garage and DD the Sami. (I think I'm being overly critical with it; I'm almost too scared to drive the dang thing for fear of scratching paint or heaven forbid, dents :o)
