Finally had it out of the garage long enough to rinse it off and snap a few pics. I bought this thing last sunday for $200. It's a 93 JL with FI. Turns out the engine is seized, but thanks to Lawdog, that will be taken care of shortly. Right now I'm building up my own "Cheap Truck Challenge" with their total budget of $1500 including cost of vehicle. With mine and my freind's fabrication skills and stash of scrap steel, this thing should be pretty cool as a trail runner. For the budget, anything I already have laying around or given to me for free will not be counted no matter what it's worth. I'm only counting stuff I actually have to go buy for it. So far, Title transfer, tax and vehicle cost my total is $300, so I still have $1200 to get it built. Here's the pics:

I'm happy because this is going to be a father/son project with my 12 year old son. If all goes well, he'll get to learn to drive it out at the 4x4 club's property when we get it going. Plus now my Tracker has a playmate; I've been filling every seat whenever I go out to play, it'll be nice to spread people out between 2 rigs! LMK what you guys think!

we'll get the engine out of lawdog this week I don't know the miles on it but it runs real strong, no smoke. We wouldn't be taking it out except we tripped over a 1.6 16v. can't wait to see yours done up we should get together and wheel sometime :) these pics are from Zuwharrie last weekend that was a blast ;D

Looks like a lot of fun! I like the red sammi, that's very similar to what I'm going to be doing to this.... I need to track down some 16"x8" or so rims for it to fit a set of Trxus radials from a friend that has nothing else to use them on...
