Title: Steering is sometimes tough
Post by: RJkick on March 20, 2008, 09:46:59 AM
I have a '92 4dr and after my latest trip I noticed that in the morning or when it has been sitting for a while it is difficult to turn the wheels all the way either way when I'm trying to make a parking lot tight turn.  The kicker is that once I have been driving for a while it is easy again, or at least power assisted.

The fluid is full, nothing looks bent, and this weekend I'll check the tire pressure

Any other ideas?  Air in the line, etc.

Thanks

I have something to add to this that is in line with the thread. My 95 kick has a tight spot about a half turn to the left in the morning that goes away when the rig gets up too temp. At first I was thinking it was due to the fact the rig was wrecked at on time. I now believe it is in the steering system itself. Any one flush one of these systems before?

Mine has done the same thing for years. I can hardly turn it till its been running for 2-3 minutes. Then it turns easy.
