Title: Rocky Road front bumper questions.

My front bumper has arrived. No instructions. Hmmm. I know it looks simple enough, but?
Since I'm not going to be using the round tube that is stock, how much should I cut off? I figure it is at least a little bit of resistance, but I certainly don't need those end stock mounts. They say 6 point attachment--I only see two. What am I missing?

I cut off the round tube up next to the frame.  Keeps it from hitting the tire.  Not sure about mounting the bumper though.
