Title: 15" Sidekick Rims on Vitara?
Post by: Loyal on April 04, 2008, 03:45:42 PM
I have recently purchased a "new to me"  99 Vitara 4dr 5spd.  I was not aware until after I purchased it that it has 16" rims.  I have found that 16" tires are harder to get and more expensive than 15".

As this is the 3rd Zuki in the house (91 2dr, 97 4dr and 98 2dr) we have a couple of sets of 15" steel wheels kicking around.

Will the 15" Kick rims fit the Vit???

I was sure this has been asked before so I used the search function . . . nothing.  I did some searching on the net and believe I read somewhere that they will fit BUT will rub the caliper.  Is this true? How can this be worked around?

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

LOL  :)

I thought I would post here first and save myself a couple of hours.

When the snow melts I will dig them out and try them on.

There MUST be someone who has tried it ??

Some 15's will fit and some rub, it really is trial and error on this one. :(
