Backround - Failed smog with Check Engine light
Went to Gold Shield Smog Station recommended by California C.A.P. program
The shop replaced the EGR valve, adjusted the cam 3 degrees as they said itr would not pass timing without it.
The light is still on so I took it back and received the response that there is nothing wrong with it and that since I have a "California" legal Header, aftermarket cat, and muffler that the sensor isn't getting enough backpressure for the system.
I was trying to clean out the egr pipe that goes to the sensor but it looked like there was a bb or small round object that wouldn't allow me to clean from end to end.
Has anyone else run in to this? Should I try to pop the ball out? Is it supposed to be in there?
Thanks

Any ideas on how to pop the bb looking obstruction out
