Title: Track/Kick 94 rear axle - how can i fit the RD74 ?
Post by: raanan on June 12, 2005, 08:26:59 PM
Hi all

I have 4 door 94 model tracker, and I have used RD74 (rear ARB locker for 89-92 Track/Kick).

I Know they can't fit together !( cause my crown have 12 bolts and my locker have 10 holes)

My questions is :

A. can I fit 91 model third member  to my 94 rear axle without any problem ?

B. can I only replace my crown (12 bolts) with older crown (10 bolt from track/kick 89-92 with the same dif' ratio)?

C. why Suzuki made this change ? , is for better handling with 16V engine power ?

Thanks for all answering

Raanan

A- Yes you can, it will bolt right in.

B-You can replace your 12 bolt carrier with an older 10 bolt carrier. I had to do just the opposite to fit my 5.83 gears in my 89.

C- they did it for a stronger set up.

You'll need to order a new Flange Cap #023301 and a new Differential Case #011904. These are the different parts between the 10 bolt RD74 and 12 bolt RD79 ARB lockers.
