I have looked a bit here but i am not sure i got the information right so i will ask.
I own a 2002 Tracker (not ZR2 or else) really bone stock. I use it mainly on road. I do some gravel road in summer and some slippery stuff (but really rarely). In fact, the stock tire on steel wheels do what i need BUT right now, i'd like to get a nicer look. Cheaper than buying a new car!
I was thinking of aluminum wheels. Are Tracker 1999-2005 wheels my only option? Do Vitara or older Sidekick (previous generation) wheels alright? Any other option? I may go to 235 tires but this is the biggest i should ever want for my use. I would probably buy AT in stock size if available.
Thanks!

For a little while, I was running the 3-spoke alloy wheels from a '96 Tracker on my '03. The back of the spokes barely -- and I mean BARELY (like, by about a credit card's thickness, maybe less!) -- cleared the brake calipers on the fronts.
I really like the look of the ZR-2 wheels if you can get ahold of a set, and upgrading to 225 (no rubbing) or 235 (only slight rubbing on frame at full lock) tires will fill out the wells nicely. Dig through the readers' rides posts on this site and see what folks are doing.

No, you can install Vitara and Grand Vitara 1999-2005 aluminum wheels too.

I've got four 15" five-spoke alloys from my '99 in good shape just sitting in the garage. I'll part w/ them for cheap. They're just taking up space. You can pm me or post here if interested.
