hey somebody on the fla 4x4 bbs was asking about the 2 stroke Zuki, anybody tell me anything about it? like year, engine (800cc?) US model or Canadian, etc...
-
That is an 81 LJ 20 and it is actually a 4 stroke motor ;)
-
hey I know Art Lilley! ;)
It sounded like a 2 stroke, must need some muffler work. ;D
-
Hmm after some investigation it would seem it is a LJ80, indeed a 4 stroke but only made up till 1980....
see: http://www.lj10.com/lj80info/
-
My first car when I was 16 was a LJ50 2 stroke 500cc.
It had a flat bonnet the one in the pic has a rise in the front of the bonnet to fit the 4stroke engine in.

Posted this in the adventure forum because I felt it was appropriate there, but I'll move it with all the rest here, I guess.  Wolf, I recognize your truck, you were the dude with that cool looking dog that looked kinda like a bear and kinda like a bull, right?...Well, back to NY from NC after fall Zuwharrie and let me tell you, I've already got the time off for next spring(Apr. 8-10).  Man the trails and the country is great there.  The event and the people were awesome as well and I came home with a new Bikini Top thanks to Hawk.  I'm not even sore that the LawDogs clutch went bye-bye after the first day's wheelin', just thankful it waited until we were back at camp. ÂÂ
I did't notice many other Zukiworld dudes and chicks on the list, nor did we meet any.  Except whitfield (thanks for the help with the Real Red Sammi's wiring on the trail by the way) and nc_zuk, whom i gather is the heart and soul of Zuwharrie and is definetly going to be there.  Anyone who did go, please chime in with your account.  And if you didn't, let us know if you're planning to make it next time.  If the drive is the problem, I'm sure LMS can lead a convoy that will meet up with those who are coming from the north.
Here are some of our Zuwharrie pics, please feel free to post yours:
(http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/zuwaharrie%20022.jpg) The two LMS Sammis line up for the main trail ride.
(http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/zuwaharrie%20033.jpg) Real Red Sammi hits one of the few Sippy Holes we found.
(http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/zuwaharrie%20038.jpg)Me and my buddy Dan D. take LawDog up the trail.
(http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/zuwaharrie%20039.jpg) A stocker in our group tries some rock climbing and almost goes over!
(http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/zuwaharrie%20041.jpg)Two tired and muddy Zuks gettin' a night's rest :D
(http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/zuwaharrie%20048.jpg)Getting ready for the ride home...good Times!!

The pics worked a minute ago...damn that 100megsfree.com uploader, damn my work for blocking the eye-irritant.com one, damn my bank for losing my deposit so I can't turn my cellphone on to use it to get around the block, and damn my laziness for not finishing www.lakeviewmotorsports.100megsfree5.com so I could just direct you there to see the pics.
Oh well, LMS will get our pics up soon. And i'll send 'em to derek over at Zuwharrie so you can see the good one's there.
That's the manliest Heep I've seen in a while ;D
-
DAMMIT, I tried again and still can't get my zuwharrie pics to post (http://www.eye-irritant.com/august2004/4925918_m.gif)
-
Can't you upload them in the Zuwharrie Gallery and then post them here?
-
Hey that's my Daughters Beater Jeep at the Fall event.  That DEAD GM battery is good for 2 weeks + between charges and lasted all weekend under the Extreem conditions of Adults and kids doing laps around the camp ground.  Nothing beats a $5 beater Barbie Jeep and a FREE dead battery.  My girl now 5 loves it.  She also has a Red Jeep & a Kawasaki 4-wheeler with a 94 Civic battery under the seat.  Both are 1.5x faster and will run thru the grass mud hills ect.  ÂÂ
That thing will jack the back end around sideways pulling both wheels with me in the drivers seat.  That is my bother-in-law in the picture.

I like how it has a Zuwharrie sticker on the windshield, did it make it up Daniel? ;D
