I bought a DISTRIBUTOR for a 1.3 engine with electronic ignition, on Ebay. I wanted it for a spare. It appears OK, but is definitely different from my 1991.
My 1991 is a Denso, 33100-80C10, 229100-7180. It uses three wires, and has a tall dist. cap.
The Ebay unit is a Mitsubishi, 33100-56B10, No. 1x28, Type T2T53471. It uses a four pin connector, and has a short cap.
My questions are:
1 What years use the Mitsubishi, 33100-56B10?
2 Can I use the Mitsubishi, 33100-56B10 in my 1991?
3 If number 3 is yes, which three, of the four pins do I use?
The green tag dist is the Mitsubishi:

Thanks for your input.

well I just ran down and looked and the 1.6 I have on my stand, it has a four pin with the same mitsu # on it, I think the one you got maybe for a 1.6

I have one of those dizzys but no wiring info. Do you know what the wire colours are?

I sure appreciate you guys help in identifying this dist. I really want a spare, but obviously it has to work. These guys are real pricey, from what I have seen so far.
I have a spare coil, fuel pump, igniter and a couple of relays. I have a Petro reworked computer. I intend to use my Zuki in some remote areas, and prefer to have spare critical parts.

The distributors there are very different, but thinks for the link.

Can you post pics of the insides? You may find that the 4 pin is a hall effect sensor from an EFI model.

Thanks for the response Rhinoman.
I opened it up to the point I cannot loosen a screw that holds a dust cover. I will get the screw out this weekend and post photos.
Mine (in my '91) is an EFI. That is what I was after when I bought this dist. It was advertised as a "DISTRIBUTOR for a 1.3 engine with electronic ignition", but did not say EFI. Silly me, I should have ask.
If it does not work for me, I need to know what it is, so I can resale it and get what I need.

All samurai electronic advance distributors are for EFI engines (at least here in the US). The samurai EFI distys have a wire pigtail hanging out of them, not a place on the side to plug in a connector.
All samurai carbed distys are vacuum advance (again, at least here in the US).
I guess it could be an electronic advance disty from a car with a 1.3........but I would say from this info.......

that it is a disty from a 1.6.
A google search also says it fits 91-95, 1.6, 8V trackicks......and I know the samurai 1.3 and the trackick 1.6 distys do not interchange (by that I mean that they are not the same part number and the electrical connectors are not the same).

Skyhiranger, if I understand your post, you believe the distributator to be from a it fits 91-95, 1.6, 8V Sidekick?

Yep. It definitely is NOT a samurai 1.3 disty. And the number matches the distys used in 91-95, 1.6 8V trackicks.

The dist was misidentified. It was from a Sidekick.
Shucks, I really had my hart set on having an extra dist for my '91 1.3 8v Zuki.
